Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 20, 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your preferences, or gather information about how the site is used. This policy explains what CraigPoint uses on this Site.
2. The cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are set automatically by our website platform (WordPress) and are required for the Site to function correctly — for example, to keep a logged-in admin session secure, or to remember a comment author’s details if comments are used. These cannot be switched off, as the Site would not work correctly without them.
2.2 Analytics and marketing cookies
At present, this Site does not run third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes in the future (for example, if we add a website analytics tool), this policy will be updated in advance and, where required by law, we will ask for your consent first.
2.3 Third-party embeds
Our Contact page embeds a Google Map. Google may set its own cookies or collect technical data when that embed loads, governed by Google’s Cookie Policy. We do not control these third-party cookies.
3. Table of cookies currently in use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| wordpress_*, wp-settings-* | CraigPoint (WordPress core) | Keeps an administrator securely logged in and remembers admin interface preferences. | Session to 1 year |
| Google Maps cookies (if the Contact page map is loaded) | Loads and operates the embedded map. | Set by Google |
4. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Because this Site does not currently set non-essential cookies, there is nothing to opt out of beyond the essential cookies above — but you’re welcome to block all cookies in your browser; some interactive elements (like the embedded map) may not work as a result.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Site evolves — for example, if we add analytics in the future. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
